Roppongi's #1 club, formerly known as VANITY, is V2 TOKYO. It hosts the most events, and draws the biggest crowds in the city. One of its unique features is that after getting your ID checked and your ticket issued at the first floor entrance, your ticket must then be signed.
Ride the elevator up to the 13th floor to access the lockers, and then head to the front gate to pay the entrance fee. Entering the club you'll see the bar counter to your right, VIP seating to your left, and LEDs illuminating a path all the way down to the dance floor. The floor is packed with dancers sporting various kinds of glowing jewelry and gadgets; a microcosm of the city outside the club walls.
Long lines are common on weekends and holidays, so it's recommended that gentlemen enter before midnight. Dancers arriving around 1am may find wait times of as much as one hour.
V2 TOKYO's clientele varies depending on the day of the week. Gentlemen in their late 20s and early 30s are the norm, and the VIP crowd includes company executives, investors, and other business professionals.
Security is extremely tight throughout the venue.
Dress code is also strict, meaning that every gentleman in the club is always looking their best.
If waiting times to get in get too long, it's worth it to ask about purchasing a Fast Pass for ¥7000 (double the regular admission) to get in right away.
Whether weekends or weeknights, no club welcomes more groups of ladies than V2. It is a popular spot for ladies who want a change of scenery from Shibuya, or who just want to enjoy dancing. Ladies-only events and seating are also available.
