CLUB METRO is one of Japan's oldest and most innovative clubs. It has been in operation since 1990 and is well known as both a Nightclub and concert hall.
By continually booking unique talents, CLUB METRO has long been at the forefront of the Kyoto culture and arts scene, producing paintings, art, film, and above all music. CLUB METRO's reputation has even spread outside of Japan; artists on the global leading-edge are regularly invited to perform.
All music genres are covered, but the evenings feature other cultural exhibitions as well: The Metro University culture school hosts regular events involving visual arts, film, literature, and theater. The International Art Festival hosted by Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City is also held here.
CLUB METRO was featured on Australian dance music publication inthemix's 2015 list of “14 of the weirdest places you can go clubbing.”
